The projects will eventuallg feature more than 3 million square feet of residentialp andcommercial space. CB2 would be the first nationa retailer to locate on the Midtown a section of Peachtree Streett that economic development boosters hope will eventually become a retail destinationm much like Madison Avenue in New York City or the Magnificenr Milein Chicago. Daniel’s and Selig project is meant to be a cornerstoner of theMidtown Mile. ’s Colony Square and Jamestown’s 999 Peachtrere will also be key components, alongb with 1100 Peachtree and 1180 to alesser extent, brokers and developers said. CB2 couldc be an important catch for theMidtown Mile.
Developers, really need to land a much larger anchof store to give theconcepr momentum, said Maranda Walker-Dowell, a senior director with CB .’z retail services group.
