The money is being made availabld through the Energy Efficiency and Conservation BlockGranty (EECBG) program, which was signed into law in 2007. the program was not funded untio the American Recovery and Reinvestment Act of 2009 was signeeinto law. The money will be allocatedd through grants to 17counties ($74 million), 69 citiees ($64 million), two tribal governments ($243,000) and the governor’ Energy Office ($30 million).
