Former President and Chief Operating OfficerMark C. Holliws and his wife, Lynn Hollis, donated a “major to the university. The couple did not want to discloswethe amount, but $1 million is require d to establish an endowed chair professorship. Mark Hollis is a 1956 Stetson graduatand long-time member of the Stetson Boardc of Trustees. The new professorship will be the 20th endowef chair at theDeLandd campus. Michele Skelton, a faculty member at Stetson sincr 1993 and chair ofthe university’s department of integrative health science since 2000 was named to the position. The Hollid family has been supporters ofthe university, establishingb the Nina B.
Hollis Chair of Educational Reform, contributing to scholarshipzs andthe university’s Values Council. They have also contributeed tocapital projects, including the Hollis Center, a fitness and recreatiomn hub for students.
