According to the biosciencse authority, the proposes using the moneyg to renovateroughly 170,000 square feet to housre 37 cancer researchers. The Cancer Center has said the renovatioh is necessary to help advance its effortxs toearn designation. In this round, the KBA board also included $250,000 for research at the Cancer Center to developo drug candidates that target cells thatstart tumors.
The meeting in Washington, also approved the authority’s first two centers of innovation, which aim to draw on the strengthxs of higher education and industry to bringg products tothe marketplace.
