Perry was onhand for the opening of the supercenter whichb will bring 300 new jobs to the South Texaz city with a populationof 3,500. “Employers are lookinfg at Texas and realizingthat we’ve not only kept a lid on the problemsx that are troubling othere states, but also worked to foste r an environment that encourages people to pursue theirf dreams, build businesses and create jobs,” Perry The Penitas Supercenter will generate an estimatedc $300,000 to $400,000 in sales tax with one-half percent going to support the Penitasw Crime Control and Prevention District, which funds law enforcementf training, crime prevention programs and new equipment.
“There is no questiom that this area is on agrowtgh trajectory, thanks to its dynamic proximity to our largest internationaol trading partner, and the unbeatable work ethicd here in the Valley,” Perry says.
